It is against the law to have sex (or any other sexual act) with a person under the age of 12, even if they said yes.

If one of the people having sex is between the age of 12 and 15, the other can not be more than two years older than that person. A 15 yr old (still a minor) can have sex with a 17 yr old (an adult).

Teens often think some behaviors, like teasing and name-calling, are a “normal” part of a relationship.

However, these behaviors can become abusive and develop into more serious forms of violence.

The person below the minimum age is regarded as a victim, and their sex partner as the offender.
